First of all, I took my basketball final earlier and scored 94%. Woot! I'm so glad that class is over. It was fun and it helped get me into better conditioning, but it took a toll on me, what with all the injuries. Jammed fingers suck. A sprained ankle so bad that it took days before I could put normal pressure on it is beyond suckage...it was terrible. Now I just need to finish up my creative writing work and that's that. Our group does the radio play on Thursday the 21st and then I will be on winter break. Next semester I'll either take multivariate stats over again (I got a C the first time and that's like getting an F in grad school) or I will take a creative writing class that focuses on fiction along with a running class so I can keep up my exercise momentum.
I can fit into my old size 34 jeans again! It's great to see some tangible, concrete results from all the months of weight loss. Sure, I like seeing the numbers on the scale get smaller, but being able to fit in old clothes again is really nice. I look better than I have in years. I still have a ways to go, but I am getting more confident that the old sexy Joe will be back soon.
I got Clare some CDs from her
lala want list, including the Hannah Montana soundtrack. She seemed reasonably pleased about this. Ok, she was deliriously happy, and that was what I wanted. I like doing things to make her happy. I get a little too exuberant about my affection for her, though, so I must remember to tone it down some.
Clare also suggested I sign up for
last.fm, so I did. You can find me there as
FrenchCelt. I want to start expanding my musical horizons some more and Clare is definitely the right person to guide me along this new journey. It's time for my second musical renaissance, much like my first one that lasted from about age 18 to 25 or so.
