Tv whore

I've seen Black Swan which I didn't like much*, but I didn't expect to. I gave it a try but I guess I just know myself too well.

Television is so much better than most of the movies, especially the movies there's a big fuss about.

I've decided to save the last three episodes of The Wire for a time when I will be ready to say goodbye to that brilliant show. Yeah sister_luck  you were right, it definitely belongs to my tv pantheon, even though it doesn't have the same artistic creativity as BtVS or OZ or Breaking Bad. But what a gallery of characters! I know they will stay with me even those who aren't likable (Rawls, Clay Davis sheeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!!).

So now I have a pentatheon, a five show pantheon: OZ, BtVS, BSG, The Wire and Breaking Bad !

I've watched a lot of The Good Wife online(up to S1E17), because I'll be in Tangiers( yes Morocco) from the 24th of February to the 5th of March -a much needed break thanks to friends who live there now and who invited me for 10 days to visit them-so I will miss 8 episodes (can you believe it?, our French M6 channel shows them on  thursdays 4 by 4!). I think I will stick with the online watching since I can't watch ot in its orginal language on tv.

So far I enjoy the ride. Kalinda, Diane and Will are, by far, my favourite characters. I hope that Peter won't get more screen time in the future...

BTW it's funny to see so many actors from The Wire popping up in The Good Wife !

* (ETA to be fair) except for its meta quality, as the film talks about cinema through the three generations of women, Hershey, Ryder, Portman. Hershey was something in the 70's-80's but never quite reached stardom, and Winona was a young star in the 90's...now quite has-been? Now it's Nathalie's turn to shine! And I've been saying for years that Portman and Keira Knightley were Winona's clones, so I was pleased to see the casting. Also, Black Swan isn't as bad as The Fountain by the same Darren Aronofsky.
