Mid-season thoughts
7 episodes left in season 4. I'm still bracing myself for "the thing" to happen...it's almost unbearable! Why did I have to spoil myself like that?
I wasn't sure about the character in season 3, but Tommy Carcetti has grown on me. I loved his relationship with Norman. The jury is still out concerning Dennis though.
Bubs breaks my heart every time he is on screen, as usual, and Omar rocks of course. The turquoise pajamas scene in the cold open of episode 4 was really something. I'm tempted to watch Boardwalk Empire just for Michael. K Williams! But will I be able to forget Omar now? Hey, apparently Omar was even Barack Obama's favourite character !
I forgot to mention it in earlier posts, but I see blind Butchie as Tiresias, the blind prophet of Thebes. In season 3 he seemed to have foreseen stuff and said he was seeing too much...
Marlo/Chris/Snoop looks like a terrifying update of Avon/Stringer/Wee-Bey.
