Picsou and Martin
I've started noticing that popular entertainment characters are given different names here than in America.
Donald Duck is "Picsou" -- don't ask me why
Lightning McQueen is "Flash McQueen" and Mater is "Martin"
The Smurfs are the "Schtroumphs" - although in this case, as the Smurfs were originally a Belgian creation, I don't know which is the proper name
I write about this because, as my son is starting to see these movies, or read comics with these characters, he's going to be one confused little kid when he visits his cousins back in the U.S. and says, "Oh yeah, I love when Picsou takes a bath in his mountain of gold coins." -- Who??
