The Waker, Mosrael, reminds me of how, when a Clayr gets the Sight, they call it the Awakening.
I think Ellimere chose the Speaker, Dyrim, because the Royal line relies on speech, their ability to lead others has a lot to do with talking.
Kibeth does her thing.
It makes sense that Sam would chose the Thinker because of the inquisitive nature of the Wallmakers.
Sabriel with Saraneth obviously makes sense. Although it is neat because it reminded me that in the first book she kind of distanced herself from being Abhorsen, because that was her father, she didn't want to lose herself, etc., but in choosing it, she shows how she's grown into the role.
Lirael probably chose the Weeper because of her childhood, I mean she was suicidal for most of it and spent most of her birthdays in tears. I think it's also fitting because if she had killed herself when she was 14, everyone would be dead when Orannis rose, which is like when you ring Astarael and it kills everyone.
