The Snowflake Challenge, Day 7
Day 7 of the Snowflake Challenge. :) If you guys haven't joined in yet, you really should. It's a lot of fun and I've really enjoyed participating each day in the new challenge. There really isn't a deadline to participate on any one challenge, so if you want, have at it!
Day 7
In your own space, create a list of at least three fannish things you'd love to receive, something you've wanted but were afraid to ask for - a fannish wish-list of sorts. Drop a link to your wish-list in this post. Maybe someone will grant a wish. Maybe you will grant a wish. If any wishes are granted, we'd love it if you link them to this post.
Wishlists are difficult for me. Whenever I join a gift exchange where I have to request works, it's always so hard for me to really choose what I want and then to describe it. Details are the worst. Especially when gift exchanges may not pair you with someone capable of writing/drawing what you want the most. I always try to be more broad about my wishes because of that.
So yeah... Let me try this and see what I can come up with.
1. Jess/Nick New Girl fanwork. Yeah, I'm going to be broad with this one just because there is not enough fic written for this fandom and pairing. I'm dying to find a long, plotty, funny fic just full of the awesome things that make Jess, Nick, Schmidt, Cece and Winston so much fun to watch every week. That being said, there's not enough of ANY fanwork for this fandom. I'd love to see artwork, meta, icons, manips, wallpapers, really ANYTHING. I just wish there was more squee for it all.
2. Transformative work of anything I've written. Podfic, fanart, sequels, anything, really. I'd just love to see someone inspired by something I've done. That's one of the best parts of fandom, when we can inspire each other to create even more amazing fanworks.
3. Fanworks for the Abhorsen Trilogy/Old Kingdom Trilogy by Garth Nix. This is another fandom I adore but there is never enough for it. I love Sabriel so much and wish there was much more written about her life after the ending of her book. I want to know about the restoration of the Old Kingdom, about Necromancers she had to face, about her burgeoning relationship with Touchstone. I also would love to see what happened with Lirael in the library for those four years skipped in the book. Where did she go? What did she discover? Fanart, stories, speculation, whatever your mind can come up with. I just want more of this amazing world.
