Next to Normal is a Broadway musical now on tour about a middle-aged housewife and mother with severe bipolar disorder, and how this affects her and her family. As a warning, it is a very heavy play that realistically portrays severe bipolar disorder (so definitely trigger potential), however I also found it quite moving and powerful and enjoyable. It's very well-done in my opinion.
I'm going to see it tomorrow night with a group of 4 people including phoenix_rinna and other geeky people, but our 5th person had to cancel, so we now have an extra ticket. Does anyone want to see this with us? The ticket is $58. It's at 7:30pm tomorrow night (Wednesday the 11th) at the Edward Roberts Studio Theatre, Stanford Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts, 527 Tremont Street near Back Bay.
