From 2011 forth, I declare January 21-23 official Beatnik Experiment Days.
If you are not a beatnik, dress and act like one for your choice of said days. If you are a beatnik, dress and act like a contributing member of bourgeoisie society. ;-)

In the words of our awesome President Obama: Yes We Can!
This is your chance to try something you have always wanted to try, but have henceforce been too afraid, perhaps in part because you have worried about your reputation. All Hallow's Eve is one of my favorite days because of this wonderful opportunity to wear a mask (literally and figuratively). It has been almost 3 months since that blessed night. Too long, says I. We need to be shaken up every now and again (monotony is both boring and stagnating).
