Potential Alternatives...
...to the RENT cabaret in case I don't have the time and/or people and/or venue and/or money, but still have that itch to perform:
1.) Perform "Take Me or Leave Me" at a talent show kinda thing, preferably playing Maureen
2.) A cabaret involving a selection of songs from various musicals, to be determined once we know what kind of cast we're working with. (And for the record: yes, "Once More With Feeling" and "Doctor Horrible" count ^_~ This has already been suggested to me a number of times and I think it would be awesome.)
Once again: anyone interested? This plotting is for summer or fall 2011, by the way. It would preferably be for credit for school, though perhaps I'd want to do it anyway.
Other help potentially desired, besides performing:
~Musical direction
~Choreography
~Piano (if you're long-distance a recording would do, though a local to the Boston area would be preferable)
~Costuming (again is ok if you're long-distance, as sizes and measurements can be communicated via email and costumes can be mailed, though again a local is preferable)
~Props/set (see above)
~Advertising/program design (see above)
~Tech (maybe...this is implying that we have tech to work with, which I'm not sure will happen)
~House (would only needed for performance(s))
~Rehearsal/performance space acquirement
