I wish I could go back to college.
Life was so simple back then.
What would I give to go back and live
in a dorm with a meal plan again.

You sit in the quad and you think "Oh my god!
I am totally gonna go far!"
How do I go back to college?
I don't know who I am anymore.
I wanna go back to my room and find a message
in dry-erase pen on my door.
I wish I could just drop a class,
or get into a play,
or change my major,
or fuck my TA.
I need an academic advisor to point the way.
I could be sitting in the computer lab
4 AM before the final paper is due,
cursing the world 'cause I didn't start sooner,
and seeing the rest of the class there too.
But if I were to go back to college
just think what a loser I'd be.
I'd walk through the quad and I'd think "Oh my god.
These kids are so much younger than me."
Huh...guess this makes me an old loser, then. Oh well. ;-)
The meal plan is certainly, and will continue to be, missed...every single day. The dry-erase door board is also missed, but hey, that is easily resolved. ;-) As for everything else (save, perhaps, fucking TA's...um, no thanks? unless I'm already dating them?), I certainly have a lot to look forward to in the coming months and years. ^_^ And oh, computer lab all-nighters, nostalgia. Will definitely have to look into if there is a 24-hour or at the least a late-night study space on Lesley campus, for if there is I'm sure I will have much use for it. (Not to mention that it IS a strange sort of group bonding activity/rite of passage. ^_~)
