He recovered from the pneumonia, sorta, but it's really just a matter of time. Days. Maybe hours.

Today, my dog punched my dad in the balls and my mom laughed until she cried.

I missed seeing this happen, but I couldn't help but hear my dad say very loudly, "I don't know what the hell you women think is so goddamn funny about this! It HURTS!"
