Tonight I'm angry, but in a funny way
Things I Don't Understand Today:
1. Collecting dolls, or action figures, or whatever you call them. Regardless of what you call them, what do you do with them? Why do you have them? It's like a coin collection to me. Or any collection, really. All collections of non-functional objects are seen in my brain in the same way: money I could have spent on beer, shoes, or (on a particularly great day) both at the same time.
2. Why we have to hear songs from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory on TV commercials now. Look, I DID NOT LIKE that movie. I didn't like it when Gene Wilder was in it. I didn't like it when Johnny Depp was in it. I DID NOT LIKE IT. The '71 version with which my ears are currently being raped is by far the worse, though, because it had those God-awful songs. I'm sorry, I know some of you want to punch me in the face now, but truly? I hate those songs. And now I have to hear that one goddamn song day in and day out because I watch too much TV. (For those of you who want to punch me in the face now, just be glad I didn't tell you my political beliefs.)
3. Steve Yzerman's DEFECTION to Tampa Bay. No other word for it. Except maybe treason. Or backstabbing. Or Armageddon.
