I'm kind of down today. I think it's a combination of too little sleep, a bit of a hangover, and all the excitement now being over. Oh, and y'know, going back to work tomorrow. That kind of sucks.
However, the Wings won, and I saw Star Trek today.
OH. MY. GOD.
I have never been into Star Trek in anything other than a peripheral, watched-it-as-a-kid sort of way. I remember thinking Dr. McCoy was pretty cool (especially when I realized he was also in Night of the Lepus) and Spock, too, and though William Shatner is a cool dude, Kirk didn't really hold my attention.
So, yeah, I grew up watching the reruns on TV, but I never would have told you I was into it.
This movie? MAKES ME WANT TO BE INTO IT.
And that right there is the two line review: This movie? MAKES ME WANT TO BE INTO STAR TREK.
