I Love It.
Best Times/Moments I've Had In The Last Few Months:
1. The Lovedrug/Acceptance/Lovedrug concert, March 22nd-I got myself and Jason into for free since I promoted for it, and him loving Lovedrug after never hearing them before. (they put on an AMAZING performance) Afterwards, James, Jason and I took a LONG stroll through downtown Orlando and Lake Eola, climbing palm trees and the random sort.
2. Jason and I's "movie moments" in Daytona Beach.- late March
3. Meeting and working with Jenny on the beach in Daytona!- late March
4. The Night I turned 21- April 24th...Cory, Adam and Jared and I went to I-bar, I had 4 shots in about 30 min...and I danced/chased this creepy man who was doing quite a bit of dancing/running himself. I'm told..it was a sight.
5. Florida Music Festival, May 19,20,21- after so many people telling me "it's not that great" I HAD THE BEST TIME. Promoting crazily....networking....attending music industry panels...people buying me drinks....listening to good local bands...meeting new people who are all interested in the music industry...somehow winding up at a post-FMF industry party at The Marriot hotel with Alex and partying with people in the Presidential Suite. Fav performances? Of course Fairweather Friend. But also this band I saw throughout teh weekend, Rino...OHMIGOSH I had so much fun dancing with Alex and Matt and the band for their showcase. Going to see Harrydash by myself and remembering WHY this band is so good. holy shit..the whole thing was a trip.
6. The All-American Rejects show, May 29th- I got in free thru Atlantic Records, although I was mostly by myself I ended up befriending this kid, Drew, and my OTHER friend James pulling me into the "mosh/dance" pit for during AAR. Hellogoodbye opened..and HOLY SHIT they were awesome, AND their performance was HILARIOUS at the end. Drew and I end up singing/dancing our hearts out to AAR..and I dont care what anyone says, I love that band and they put on a FUN SHOW.
7. Meeting a new friend, John, really randomly downtown and learning new catch phrases like "That's Trump," instead of "That's hot," since Paris stole that from everyone and claimed it hers.
8. The Working Title/June/New Atlantic show, June 17th and June 18th- running into my friend, Dan and clan, who I ALWAYS see at shows..him buying me a Sparks, and me totally feeling loopy after not eating much prior. Afterwards, all the hotel room Twister shennigans with New Atlantic, new friend/photographer Ian and Kevin. The next day...hanging out with everyone and after HOURS of trying to get things together, shooting their music video....and getting to see Jenny! Later....Walmart Parking Lot BBQ + shopping carts+ catching some people fooling around in their parked car= A really good time with new friends.
9. I-bar for Indie Night- June 30th- Scott and I "butt-dancing" to the last song...while prior to that, I ran around the place with a napkin full of numbers trying to recruit extras for the Gas Can Pickup video, my buddy Kevin was goign to shoot the next day. Scott telling me "OOOO that guy HAS to be in teh video!"
10. Watching Drew try to "start a pit" during Emanuel's performance for the Circa Survive/Emanuel/Mashlin show- July 3rd.
11. July 6th- My roommate, Tasha and I drinking it up one night, jumping on her bed, and having to rescue sick, young, drunk girls we had over at our house and having to try and "sober up" while doing it, after getting PRETTY tipsy earlier in teh night. It was NOT FUNNY AT ALL when it was happenning, but it's one of those things I can laugh about now.
12. Getting to see Fairweather Friend headline at Hard Rock Live.
