There's about 59,001 things I should be doing right now other than updating...but you know what. I'm. Doing. It.

I have no idea where to start...I'm so behind.

Well, I still live in Orlando.

I'm trying to move somewhere near downtown, because lord knows I'm there enough, I should live as close as I can. Plus I HATE TOLL ROADS. I currently live in a house where I've had 5 different roommates live here. I've basically adopted one of my roommates' cats. "His" (although we refer to "him" as a transvestite) name is TeeTee. Gross, I know...it wasn't my idea. But "he's" my good buddy, and I think I'll be adopting "him" when I move out of here.

I've made a lot of new friends in the past few months, usually really randomly. It feels really nice, too...because I love making good friends. Some of these people I feel will be sticking in my life for awhile. Let's hope it all works out. One of them will probably be my new roomie! Shoutout to Jen, even though she's not on here and thinks livejournal sucks! haha :)

I don't have a steady job. I work promotions and I had one (sorta steady) job for a month. My cashflow...is mostly nonexistant, and I'm sick of it. I really need to save for LA, I'm sick of this shit. So. I'm currently looking for a job that I can earn a crap load of money at...but not interfere with my concert nights. I'm thinking...cocktail serving...or hell, even shot girl. I want something that I can go to work....do my job (ahem and WELL!)...and get paid well. (wait...that's probably what everyone wants) I almost got screwed over by a promotion I did back in March...but they FINALLY FINALLY after going through a lot...payed up, bitches. Hell yeah for being persistent.

I don't have a steady job...but that doesn't mean I'm not "working." I've gotten into promoting bands A LOT. Since I go to so many concerts....it was just due time. It's pretty fun, and I love getting the word out there about upcoming shows to Orlando...or about an artists' upcoming release. I really really like music promoting. So much so...that I think I want it to be my "side project." Being an actor, first priority. But music promoting...BIG side priority. Right now..I promote for the following labels: Sony/BMG Music, Atlantic Records, Doghouse Records, and my personal fav, The Militia Group. I also helped promote a local Orlando band (someone from my Sony promoting is in it), Fairweather Friend, at this big Florida Music Festival we had here (full of all unsigned bands doing showcases for A&R people)..and I networked A LOT at it. So now, I'm Fairweather's "Go-To" girl for promoting their shows, plus I've helped out another band called Sonar a couple of times, John Frank-local singer/songwriter, and soon I'll probably be helping a band from Tampa (who I saw about 2 1/2 years ago open for Something Corporate, and who also did an AMAZING performance at FMF) called Harrydash. I do NOT understand why they're not signed. It boggles my mind. Plus, I made friends, REALLY randomly, with a band called New Atlantic, in June. I started talking after their show with their lead singer...and the next thing you know my friend Kevin and I are meeting them at their hotel room afterwards...playing Twister nonetheless...and all of sudden, the next day Kevin is shooting a music video for them! Haha...yeah I hook it up. Oh yeah! AND...I helped promote for The Working Title's show here, through their management (the same show I met New Atlantic at) and now, I was just asked the other day to run their whole streetteam! ahahahaha. I like it. It'll look good, plus it's flipping TWT, who I've adored for a long time now. So..I think things should start happening with that. It's good for me to network, because not only does it help meet people in the music biz, but a lot of the times THEY KNOW someone in the film industry. Hint, hint.

Speaking of promoting...I have been promoting for Lollapalooza, which is only a 2-DAY festival on July 23rd and 24th, held in Chicago (from now on). Yeah, well people in Orlando can travel. I've made good friends with the owner, Kip, of the website www.freshtracksmusic.com, which is a company in charge of the Lolla streetteam. There's an amazing lineup...and I get a free tix for helping to promote (and it's not cheap). Well, I'm trying to take it a step further. Through networking, I met someone who works for this nationally broadcast morning entertainment/news show called The Daily Buzz, which is filmed in Orlando. For a few weeks now, I've been trying to contact the booking producer, because I'm trying to book the band, The Bravery (who are playing Lolla) to appear on their show and talk about Lolla. I finally got a response from the booking producer (positive!)...and now it's in the hands of The Bravery's management. MAN..I hope they say yes. I've been being very persistent darnit. Plus, it will look fucking awesome that I got national television promotion for Lolla, to the Lolla PR people and to Kip...hello, I'm totally hirable! I'm going up to Chicago for the show on the 21st-25th (becuz the promotion bitches' check came!) and I'm going to see (and hopefully meet!) lots of awesome bands, network myself (and a little for some friends) a whole bunch, and hopefully have an AMAZING time. (If any of you MI people are going...LET ME KNOW!!!!!)

Haha..I'm talking online with Jenny (who has been out of the state since May) and we have SUCH a girly friendship...I love it. I feel like I've made way more guy friends here in Orlando, than girls...and I'm glad I've finally found a good girl friend to be girly with! (yeah, hush it...)

Cheers Motherfucker.
