Ok first off I do agree with you Rich in that we should concentrate on finding the terrorist we know about and infiltrating terrorist cells. It seems as though they keep popping up everywhere and that's not cool. It's going to be hard to stop them but in reality it shows that the end isn't near for terrorist actions and it may be a hard battle to win, but none-the-less a battle that needs to be fought. I think we needa get out of Iraq as quickly as we can and let their government work the way they think it should. Obviously they need a transition period but I think that should be completed here shortly. I believe with the information we had, our President had to make the best decision he could and it wasn't just him who decided about going to war it was a collaboration of top officials who thought it would be an important move on our part. Iraq wasn't the biggest mistake but unfortunately it went a different route than expected, at least Saddam isn't in power anymore and things are slowly coming into place.

I do agree with you Rich on this point as well...It's hard to tell if what we're doing has done anything. It is promising that we haven't had any attacks in the US, however, if you look back to recent history, terrorist attacks are few and far between. I also think its promising that Iraq is trying to work toward the goals they have set up for themselves and being better than Sadaam had left them. But are we winning the war is hard to gage. i think we've won certain aspects of the war but others we have lost. I.e. we've lost many men; terrorist attacks are still going strong, but we have Sadaam captured and Bin Ladin is still hiding so at least we know he's at least a little scared, lol, and sooner or later we will bring him in too. But Iraq is building a new government and many Iraq folks support the US's efforts.

Also I do think it's going to be hard to win the war, but really what are the goals we have as to what dignifies winning the war? Hmm...good question, I'd like to know what Bush considers winning the war. After that I could make a better more informed decision.

On another note, China could be our next area of focus but we shouldn't be too quick to jump around over there, yet keep a close eye on them from a safe distance.

I think that's it. peace love and crabs.

Yeah, there are other places we must worry about, like N. Korea, unfortunately this war is using up our assets and streching our forces out. If we get tied up in another conflict, we're gonna face tough choices.
