New Arrival - Drawn To Power (Avengers Spoilers!)
Loki Laufeyson may have been beaten, both physically and metaphorically, but he was most certainly not yet defeated.
After that unfortunate incident within the Stark building, the Trickster had managed to make his escape before the rest of Nick Fury's team could move in and capture him, crawling away to heal up and lick his wounds whilst deciding what his next move should be. It irked him that he'd lost the use of his staff, but at least he still had the use of his magic - something which he'd checked while he'd been recovering, making sure he could still use his illusions - not to mention his near-immortality and superior physical capabilities. He knew full well that the Hulk's attack on him would have killed a mere human.
Now that he had recovered, however, it was time for action. No doubt Thor would be searching for him along with the rest of the SHIELD team, and he was determined to be ready for them when they came for him. That was why he was now standing a short distance away from the perimeter of the BPRD compound, his appearance that of a normal human male wearing a black suit, his brow furrowed in concentration as he tried to work out what, exactly, this place was supposed to be.
At first glance the building seemed to be some sort of waste-disposal centre, but from the way something in there was pulling at him, it had to be anything but. There was power here, power that called to him, and he was going to discover what it was - and use it.
((OOC: Loki has been drawn towards the BPRD because he can sense the presence of the magical artifacts kept inside. He currently looks as he does in the Avengers movie when he visits the museum in Stuttgart; he's being subtle and cautiously investigating the defences, both mundane and supernatural, surrounding the BPRD compound.))
