Sunset over City Hall

What do I have left to do before start of festival?

Buy sneakers. (That is what I get for waiting until school starts to try to find a new pair. How could Sportchek be sold out? That's just crazy.)

Buy some sort of hair product that will tame my hair. (Don't ask.)

Get as much sleep as possible between now and Wednesday. (After Wednesday, all bets are off.)

What do I hope to accomplish at this year's festival?

Talk to every musician I see and perhaps get picture of the experience. (Every musician we talked to the year before loved to be asked to have their picture taken with fans... or they were really great at pretending.)

What do I promise not to do at this year's festival?

Not allow myself to get a picture beside Chris Kirby. (Awesome artist, highly recommend his new CD Vampire Hotel, and all-round great guy. But beside him, I look like a giant from the land of giants let out on a day pass to the land of the little people. Didn't help any that my other friend in the pic isn't tall either. And damn it, I'm not tall... just a couple inches taller than average.)

Late breaking news! Just visited the Harvest website and they announced that tomorrow's concert at the Playhouse has been rescheduled for October 7th. Frak! That is in the middle of the week and now I'll have to miss it. I can get a refund for my ticket but still... Nikki Yanofsky sounded pretty cool from what I'd heard via YouTube. The kid is only 15. Guess I can't hate her for being sick. (...you might not be able to see it but I'm pouting just a little bit.)

On that note, I should go to bed before I found out anyone else cancels on the festival.
