Ha! I bet you thought I'd forgotten about these! You would be wrong! I've finished five more, and not just because I fear the wrath of the LJ folks with names that begins with "s" or "z."
This time I bring you (for
kissesago,
la_jaconde,
lady_alatriel_,
ladybec, and
literarylemming) drabbles from Harry Potter, Lotrips, Lord of the Rings, Lost, and another piece of original fic. As always, feedback is welcome and adored.
kissesago (Harry Potter, Sirius, 100 words)
If Lily could see him now, Sirius thought with a sad smile, she'd never have let him into the house, no matter how hard James might have begged. She'd been very specific: Sirius could show up unshaved, unwashed or heavily tattooed, but not all three at the same time.
He could almost hear James's laughter echoing in his head--"Snuffles, what've you gotten yourself into this time?"--and swallowed around a sudden lump in his throat. Too many memories, too many voices he wouldn't hear again.
He started walking towards Hogwarts. Towards Peter. Towards a debt he would soon be settling.
la_jaconde (Lotrips, Elijah, Dom, 101 words)
Elijah flipped through a magazine showcasing Dom's latest shoot. He still didn't know how Dom could do it-go from joker to fucking sex on a stick in, like, a second and a half. Elijah could go from, well, guy with huge eyes to guy with huge eyes looking like jailbait, and that just wasn't the same at all.
He sighed. It's not like he could fucking ask for pointers. Dom'd laugh himself sick if Elijah came up to him, flashed a look and asked, "does this look sexy, man?" Elijah sighed and went back to the magazine. He'd learn by example.
lady_alatariel_ (Lord of the Rings, Sam, Frodo, 101 words)
Years would pass before Sam could bring himself to open the book that Frodo had left. He could smile at the tales that Merry and Pippin told at the Green Dragon, could laugh at the memories of Frodo, but the book stayed hidden and unread.
Some parts of that tale didn’t need to be retold until he was no longer waking up in cold sweats remembering the madness in Frodo's eyes at the mountain of fire. Not until he stopped hearing his master's broken voice admitting he couldn't remember the Shire.
Some day he would be ready. But not just yet.
ladybec (Original fic, 100 words)
She could become a Senator, President of the United States or a best-selling novelist.
She could find the cure for cancer, perfect a recipe for soufflé that never goes flat or spend thirty years teaching children to love Shakespeare.
She could win an Academy Award, the Pulitzer Prize or the Medal of Freedom.
She could be your best friend, be your life's partner or break your heart and not think twice about it.
She could do it all or she could do nothing at all. She could use her powers for good or for evil.
She just hasn't decided yet.
literarylemming (Lost, Charlie/Claire, 100 words)
Claire had never known anyone like Charlie, and she wasn't quite sure what to make of him. He brought her imaginary peanut butter, he smiled at her like she was the only thing in his universe, he loved Aaron with the same fierceness she did.
He also talked too much, clung too hard, fought too many inner demons.
But when she looked at him across the fire, when her hand touched his, she couldn't imagine life on this island without him. Somehow Charlie had made her care about him, and she couldn't find it in her heart to regret that.
