I really wanted to post about this last night, but I got home to find out that I had left my keys in the house, on the other side of our locked apartment door. LAME. So I sat outside in the rain, huddling under the awning, from 10:30 to 11:30 pm try to keep my books dry while doing my homework.
Anyways, last night I went to go see an play adaptation of George Orwell's Coming Up For Air with my English 211 seminar. Prof. Dalziel was there (she even brought her husband!) and during the intermission we chatted a bit. I told her how I was born in England, and we talked about how much we love English accents, and then I brought up that I have a British passport. I said this would be helpful because I'm considering doing grad work in England. She said that the passport might not help with fees, but that she and SGB (Dalziel slang for THE ENTIRE HONOURS DEPARTMENT) would help me find scholarships when the time came and that there were specific scholarships designed for English Honours majors to help them do grad work abroad and that lowers their fees to the same of those of English citizens.
Aaaah!!!! Dream come true!!!
