Trump

So, he intends, still, to wreck the Paris Climate Change agreement. What a disgrace!

He is not a compassionate man; thinks only of the cost of things. If he would only stop his childish Tweeting, many of his self-made problems would go away. He may turn out to be an effective president, but he is not at all a decent human being.

True, and not an environmentalist either, sadly.

No, he will never be. He is all about the money; the immediate money. He is not what I consider a decent man.

Hi there, long time no speak. How well do you think the Republicans will do in the forthcoming elections? Hope all is well with you.

Hi, it has been a long time since I was on LJ. We are fine and are currently taking a month-long tour around N.Y.State in our r.v. to celebrate our 50th anniversary the end of Sept. We're currently in Schenectady, having left home 7 days ago. We are traversing the whole N.Y. State perimeter ( ... )

No, I have moved to Facebook these days, as me rather than a pet :-).

Sounds like an interesting trip. My daughter has a year studying in South Carolina. She is in for an interesting weekend! Son is working in Vietnam, so everyone is dispersed.

I am afraid Trump did not go down well on his visit to Britain, which was somewhat predictable. They had to keep him out of the way to avoid demonstrations

Send me a friend request and we can correspond if you wish.
Trump only goes down well in selected audiences. I really did like the balloon of him as a baby clutching a cell phone. If he would only put that phone down, a lot of his personal problems would go away.

P.S. I hope your daughter is safe.

What is fascinating me, coming from a country with usually boring weather, is how slowly these hurricanes approach the coast, given how fast the wind moves. I guess it’s because of the circular motion.

Boring weather? With our hurricanes every year and tornadoes becoming more prevalent and the mudslides and the wildfires running rampant and the drought in some states and flooding in others, how can you say boring?
But I guess the circular motion does have something to do with it; I am not up on my hurricane behavior. When it stalls, that's when the most damage is done, as the rain and winds go on for days and take down trees and houses and flood the streets and homes.
I have always been glad that we do not live near the water; we only get the very occasional hurricane or tornado or earthquake (tiny ones).
What's your weather like most of the time?

No, I meant British weather is boring. Sth Carolina is anything but. She was planning to go to Charlestone this weekend, but obviously abandoned. She is in Columbia, which I guess is safe. I have sent you a Facebook invite. If you have the patience go back to June 1st and the 2nd course of the vulture meal.

British weather is usually cool and damp, or cold and damp, but this summer was very hot.
