More Spain

As promised, a little more on Spain. We went over Easter, and religious festivals in Spain are huge. Normally the motorway west from Madrid is quiet, but this time everyone was going to their home town for the celebrations ( Read more... )

These have been two very good reports.

Bunfortunately, as you are a two-foot, I'm afraid they don't qualify for an SBS award - maybe an honourable mention in despatches is deserved?

If I say that many of the animals I go to look at, like Imperial Eagles, are major predators of rabbits.....

Very interesting! I would love to have seen the storks. Being in the middle of Europe makes inter-country travel so easy; I'm jealous!

Sadly we are somewhat on the outside, in our little island. We had to fly, and if the idiots in the UK Independence Party get their way we will be on our own and sailing into the middle of the Atlantic. Next trip is to New York in August, which will be a bit different....

Oh, yes, the Big Apple.
August will be hot and humid, probably.
Put your wallet in an inside pocket. There are many great places to go and see in N.Y. but always be aware.
I love the city; worked in it for 8 years. A person develops street sense and learns to weave between the crowds with out bumping into people. :D

EJ is working on Long Island this summer and when she finishes we will meet up for a few days before she goes on a tour around the States including the Grand Canyon where I hope she will watch out for Condors.
