Check-in (Forest)

There was no explosion over the weekend. (What are we in now, Tuesday - ?)

It was a close call.

The thing I would like you all to remember, is this:
We had the ammunition. We could have used it, at any time. And we chose not to, because it would be so hurtful. Even you, Alex. You chose not to do unnecessary harm.

I want you all to stop feeling like one collective terrible person. And when tempted to feel that way, I want you to look back on this.

Now. The last I saw, the cabin is still for rent. We have a friend who will give us a false rent reference - but she is having trouble keeping her own facts straight, and it might be best to go ahead and tell the landlord the truth.

Or, perhaps there is a way to include the truth, and the falsehood...?

(Lige): You want to be careful there. That gets complicated.

(Forest): You're right. It does.
That's a good point.

(Alex): The next time he insists on cooking for himself, can I tell him that he can also fuck himself - ?

(Forest): Are you asking permission, in order to gain an excuse to say that somewhere, anywhwere....? Because you and I both know, if you really want to say something directly to him, you can and you will. My opinion will not matter one bit. Please just remember that what is said or done by one, will be paid for by all.

(Alex): Yeah, I know it. But God I'd like to say that. To his face, in public.

(Forest): There's a world of difference between wanting to do a thing, and carrying it through. It's all right to want to do it. To carry it through, might have repercussions.
