Phenomenon 2008
I guess, as a Pheno Organiser I should make the obligatory post-con post.
It certainly seems from all I heard over the duration of the con, last night at post-con drinkies and from what I've read on LJ today that pretty much all our punters enjoyed their time at the con. As a con org this is what we live to hear, that we've done our jobs well enough that people enjoy themselves and want to come back next year. Seriously I think we give exellent con. Helped very much by good games and good GMs.
My own con was mostly spent in the canteen, and, to answer yet again, I generally enjoy being there as I get a chance to talk to pretty much everyone a goodly number times over the course of the weekend. I was very chuffed last night at post-con drinkies when numerous people told me that they'd put on their feedback forms that the thing they liked most about the canteen was me. :)
I played 2 games, Undeadwood and Platinum Angels. Undeadwood was much fun, even if there was a lot of cognitive dissonance at calling a good friend a cunt and other friends all sorts of other horrible names. :) Platinum Angels was last session and, while it was good, everyone was a bit over it by then I think, ah well.
Of course one of the other joys of Pheno is it allows me to show my wardrobe off a bit and I do like to show it off and play to my strengths (good boobs and legs and waist giving corsetry). I think it was appreciated given the amount of compliments etc I got (I also got told my outfits were controversial, heh). Friday night was simple jeans and my "I want to do you slowly" t-shirt, then Sat was my goth commando Gallery Serpentine skirt, white Antons bondage print shirt (open down to the corset, ooh, bra was visible) and pinstripe underbust from GS. Sunday was military day with black pants, leather knee boots over pants and a great military style shirt I got from Ebay. I also wore the military cap azharu and wibble brought back from China. As for Monday xole and I decided it would be PVC Monday, so I wore my black PVC mini from The Wild One and my pinstripe and PVC shirt from GS. Decided to go all out for post-con drinkies and wear my PVC Femme Fatal corset and tartan mini kilt from GS. Apparently I was looking good the entire con.
Post-con drinkies was pretty good too, many hugs and much appreciation of various kinds and I didn't have to buy a drink all night. :) I did have to very gently let a couple of people down, but I was very flattered at the same time.
I had planned to go to brunch this morning, but just not up to it. Sorry.
I had a couple of moments and offer much thanks to those who helped me out, even and especially those I'd only met on the weekend. I made some new friends and cemented some old friendships with people I don't see often enough and who I hope I see before Pheno again next year.
I hope those who attended all had a great time.
