Eurovision Headcanon
I loved watching the semi-finals with everyone on Tuesday and Thursday! After watching all the entries some people came up with scenarios for the different songs and I noticed some things for myself too! Just some (probably crack-y) headcanon I've developed XD)
- Belarus ~ We are the heroes by Litesound
Me and my sister noticed that the main singer for Belarus looked like an Italy (either Veneziano or Romano)... so we looked them up and apparently the band is made up of two brothers, an Italian singer, a Russian guitarist, a Belarusian drummer, they're singing about heroes and their label is 'West.' SO. What I get from that is...
America wrote a song and somehow managed to drag a reluctant Canada into making a band with him. America wanted to be the singer and decided Canada could 'back him up.' Italy found out about said band and wanted to join in and America made him the second back up singer. America then called Russia and asked him to join and persuaded him by saying 'it's kind of like being one, I guess?' ... Belarus found out Russia was in a band and grabbed her drumsticks, becoming the drummer. She also decided she liked America's song so much that she wanted it to represent her country for Eurovision. They needed a manager and Italy called the most managerial person he knows - Germany! Germany was reluctant at first but who can resist Italy, really? He couldn't come up with a label name, so Prussia helped him out, officially naming it 'West.' For shits and giggles, America decided to make up some European names for himself and his brother, just 'cause. The band made their first decision to swap Italy and America around, so Italy became the main singer and America became a backup vocalist with his brother. Everyone agreed Italy had the better voice. America sulked for a while but eventually he relented.
Apparently, a different act won the spot in the semi-final for Belarus and then it was investigated by their President who found that the votes had been rigged and Litesound became the representative band instead. Obviously, Belarus was outraged when they weren't chosen and demanded her boss investigate. They were chosen instead and America had everyone re-record their song!
And so, there is, what I've decided, is the story behind Belarus' song! Wow, that was pretty long!
