What the heck, back steps???

Yesterday I thought it would be fun to take both dogs to the dog park. It's been harder for Shady to get in and out of the car (I think we are getting a ramp to solve this) and she has been aggressive with dogs her size or larger....not to the point of fights, but growls, and not the playful kind. So we keep her leashed until we're sure all is well ( Read more... )

back steps, ouch again, slow cooker

OMG!! You better take it easy. Ice is so deceiving. speaking of ice, use it on your hip - a lot!!! It will keep the swelling under control and maybe prevent any kind of nerve damage by keeping the pressure reasonable in that area. Rest and get on the sofa with your fuzzies at your feet and have a glass or two of wine. And if the "lump" doesn't subside, GO SEE SOMEONE - PLEASE!!!
Luv ya!
Em~

Thanks Em, I have been icing it all night and morning. I just want to cry. All my injuries this winter have been weather/dog related. I am going to eat one of your pies later to cheer me up.....maybe even with chocolate milk.

LOVE YOU!

I just got your message today. Thank you for the birthday wishes. I have had a bitch of a time since the end of March. Totaled my car avoiding Bambi, (the road was closed for three hours because I drove up onto a guard rail and rolled three times into a water filled ravine. And I walked away without a scratch. Just a lot of PTSD), and my fifteen year old dog had to be put down last week, which came closer to killing me than the accident. Also I lost two months of my life to a new med mix which made me .... not me. It sucked. But things are looking better and you know what? I still managed to read most, if not all of your posts. So there, Madman. You have a friend in Indiana. Watch it or I might come to Rockford and hunt you down. On a good day, of course.

Robin
