[ Someone is running with a very very pointy sharp object known as a Kunai! She seems to be all right when it comes to slicing tree branches, but this risky behavior must be stopped at all costs! ]

[Scout swings down, and lands in a branch in the tree above her.]

Ain't anyone ever tell ya ta not run with sharp stuff, like scissors or whatever?

[ Lan Fan isn't sure what this man may possibly be doing but she's sure he's referring to the kunai. Lan Fan slides it between her index finger and twirls it briefly before shaking her head. She's lucky that her mask is blocking her face. For now, she just shakes her head no, but her grip tightens on the kunai in case he tries to steal it. ]

Oh ho! I see. Got some fancy moves there, kid. I see ya got a mask 'a yer own there. So, you a good guy 'r a bad guy?

[ She and Ling are sort of out for their own gain. While she knows Ling is a good guy, they aren't really.. aligned with good or bad. ] Neither. I work for my lord who's a good person. But he is not here. [ Unless BLU has something against petty freeloaders or something, she's pretty confident Ling is a good guy. ] I do not do anything bad on my own time, though. [ She doesn't have a reason to. She gets fed here and there, she serves the prince constantly, and any free time she has is spent either guarding Ling or training. Not a whole lot of time to commit evil, there. ]

Huh. So kinda like a mercenary? I'm a mercen-- Crap. Now I'm sayin' too much about my true identity!

[ She shakes her head at BLU. ]

Master Ling and I are not mercenaries. We are not employed by any sort of military. We're simply searching for a method to get to the throne, and competing with the other hundreds of clans attempting to appease the emperor. [ hundreds of clans... ]

Ah ha! Rogue agents. Overthrowin' the government! That's intense. Cool. I get it.

We are not overthrowing the government. The emperor has decided that he is close to death and ready to pass on the throne, achieving a specific item will make us the inheritors. We are competing with about five hundred thousands others, making it a very deep and tumultuous conflict.

Damn! Sounds like a tough contest. How ya gonna outshine all those people?

We have to find immortality and bring it home before anyone else can. It's why we decided to pursue our leads in a different country. We'd be able to be safe and continue the search in an aspect most didn't desire to travel that far for a lead that may or may not pan out to be true.

Geez, sounds complicated. Immortality... yer lookin' for like, the fountain 'a youth or somethin'?

I don't think so. It is a rare item that grants total immortality to whoever achieves it. It's imperative I find it or some other means to immortality, especially since I'm here.

Hell yeah you gotta find somethin' like that. Bein' immortal would be awesome. But I mean, in Mayfield, ya kinda are since ya respawn if ya die.
