But we're not doing it for art. We're not doing it for the sake of money

At 9:30am we left for Senri-Chuo, for Phillip to take money out of the atm and for breakfast. After trying multiple machines, Phillip was unable to take money out again. For breakfast we wanted to eat tako-yaki, but the shop was not open yet. We decided to walk around Senri-Chuo to look for another tako-yaki place, we found another one, but it wasn't open yet either. We decided to go back to the first tako-yaki shop and wait for it to open.

When the shop opened at 11am we were the first customers. Simon tried to buy a box of tako-yaki with half of it one style and the other half another style, but he wasn’t able to say the order and just bought a box of regular tako-yaki. We were so excited to eat that we forgot to take a picture of it, so I took a picture of the empty box. When we finished we took the bus to Osaka University. When we got there Kuwabara-san provided us with the information needed to go online. Once I was online I surfed around the web until 1:30pm when it was time to give our presentations.

For the presentations I went first then Phillip then Simon. After all us gave our presentations we presented our gifts. I gave Date-san, Kuwabara-san, Kusumoto-san, and Kei-san a box a chocolates and a can of mixed nuts. Simon gave the lab a beer mug from UCSD, and Phillip presented them with a card we all signed. Then Kusumoto-san gave his presentation of his project. After his presentation we went back to the room where Date-san was quickly talking with us about the plans for the up coming week, and our projects.

I talked to Date-san about the details of my project, and he wanted me to practicing installing linux and covise on to a desktop before I install it into the CAVE. Since I can't make a mistake when I do the installations in the CAVE. He said that he will schedule a meeting with Takemura-sensei the following week for me to see the camera. After some talk between Nozaki-san, who is usually really busy, Date-san said that we will be able to see the CAVE today day.

The CAVE is much smaller than the one at UCSD and it’s running on a very simple system. Since there is no master computer yet, all 17 computers and 10 projectors have to be turned on by hand. There was a lot of waiting before we were able to get the CAVE up and running. While we were waiting another person that works with the CAVE entered, I didn't get him name, he proceeded to help Nozaki-san get the CAVE up and running. When everything was functional unnamed guy ran a couple of his simulators for us to see. We learned that he used to develop games for Konami and that he worked on Metal Gear Solid in the past. That was pretty cool, I was kinda geeking out in my mind "OMG I'm talking with a guy that help make MGS" even though I've never actually played MGS. After playing around with his simulations; one was of downtown Osaka, one of Osaka Castle, one for a prospective building that is still in it's design stages; we left him to do his work and headed home.

Back in Senri-Chuo we decided to eat Mos Burger for dinner, the burgers were teeny-tiny but pretty tasty. Back in Momoyama-dai we when to the supermarket and bought eggs, chicken, and toast to make breakfast the next day. At the apartment we went back to my room to watch Kamikaze Girls, but we got distracted by the Scorpion King on TV and watched that instead. That movie was terrible by the way.

Delicious Tako-yaki for breakfast, which I forgot to take a picture of, so here's the empty box

Mos burger for dinner. Top left is Simon's, top right is Phillip's, and the bottom one was mine.
