Heh, I see Nanowrimo as really helpful as a motivator or for people who just don't write throughout the year. A lot of the times I go to Nano events and meet people and they're not typically writers and they look really puzzled when you bring up fanfic. They don't get the point of fanfic, a lot of the time. I totally see what you mean about Melinda May, but I think that's actually what I love about her. The rest are all these young agents without histories yet, and she's the one experienced one surrounded by puppies and Coulson who is clearly going through a midlife crisis, so I enjoy every moment of her eye-rolling and things making her angry. But I get it, I do. The one that annoys me is Ward just because even though I love the actor and his fabulous puns on Twitter, I resent him for being a bland white guy who keeps taking up screentime that could be given to better, more interesting characters.
And yeah, I...toooootally forgot that I was talking to you. I'm gonna google pashminas and get back to you on price range and stuff. I am a horrible friend. *hangs head in shame*
