Chunk, chunk, chunk

I've got ten minutes, so here's some more of fairly recent events. ^^

The Saturday after Golden Week, we had an enkai for the 1st-year teachers. Since I sit with that group, I was invited too. We went to Senri (scroll down for pictures), a teppanyaki restaurant where the new head 1st-year teacher, Y-sensei, is an old regular. (Apparently he and Mrs. Y lived across the street after they first got married.) This was, in my opinion, super delicious. It was so good I even at my shellfish. I never eat my shellfish. I definitely recommend it for others, though I have no idea how expensive a regular meal would be. We did the enkai-fee, which was... 4000¥? It might have been a special rate for Y-sensei, though, I dunno.

It was pretty awesome because I discovered that, unlike previous years where it's been just me and two other teachers who actually live in Tamamura, this year there are, like... five. XD So I got a ride to and fro really easily- there were even three of us in the car! Plus, it's always cool to watch a teppanyaki chef at work, cuz they're the ones with the giant steal griddle and the chopping and the flames and stuff. There was kind of a down moment, though, when I discovered that apparently none of my teachers actually knew that I was leaving? I had thought it would have gotten passed through the grape-vine or come up at an English teachers' meeting or something, but no, apparently not. ^^;;;

The next day I took the bus to Maebashi (my second time on that bus, finally connected to all parts of the area!) and partook in A's 11th Doctor Second Season Premiere & Second Episode Viewing Party! This was really fun, despite the fact that the last Dr. Who I saw was the 10th Doctor's Christmas Special with Donna Noble. XD We went to Gusto's afterwards and had some good food and conversation, before eventually making our seperate ways home via bus/train/feet, depending. ^^

Right, it's time to go home. I think I'm going to keep updating in smaller chunks, maybe that will make it easier to keep up to date. ;)
