The Whistleblower (2010)

That was a truly tough movie to watch.

Summary from imdb: A drama based on the experiences of Kathryn Bolkovac, a Nebraska cop who served as a peacekeeper in post-war Bosnia and outed the U.N. for covering up a sex scandal.

It's not just a sex scandal; it's about human traficking.

Good God. This film took a great idea and failed to keep it interesting until the end. After a while, it became somewhat... repetitive? I'll give it a 5/10 for a good idea and solid acting mostly by Ryan Gosling. Too bad - a good idea wasted.

It was brilliant!

It was like Stand by Me with aliens, and I mean that in the best possible way!

And for everyone who was worried (like me) that this would be another one of those "hand-camera" films like Cloverfield - it's not! Thankfully *G*

It was very well done, and very well acted, too.

Go see it if you haven't yet.

Yesterday I went to see X-Men: First Class with a friend... and what can I say? We had fun! It was great.

I think... no, I'm pretty sure that this must be the 4th worst movie I've ever seen in my life. Along with A Walk to Remember, Dear John and Burlesque.
