Movie: Chloe

On Sunday, I went to see the movie preview of Chloe in one of the local cinemas.

The comments without any spoilers: Wow, I totally didn't see that coming. I really liked it! I think it was more about Catherine than anyone else, but that's fine.

I wonder about the last scene - somehow, it felt more like an unhappy ending. Given how the three of them are in different corners of the room. And then there's Catherine, not wearing her hair down and keeping it up with Chloe's hair pin. I'm really wondering about the significance of that. Did she keep it as a warning?

I also wonder - who's really the victim here? I'm thinking Chloe, because she was drawn into this whole thing. But then again, she also lied and used Catherine to her advantage. Or maybe she really fell in love? Maybe for the first time in her life? It didn't look like she needed the money.

While Catherine, really, just wants to control everything and everybody.

ETA: As for the third (if minor) person in the triangle: David obviously kept stuff from his wife, I'm not even totally convinced yet that he didn't sleep with Chloe. Even if he didn't sleep with her - he had secret meetings and conversation with his female students. And when he went back to work after seeing Catherine and Chloe, the camera's first focus, if I remember correctly, was on the beautiful woman who chaired the meeting. He certainly wasn't the victim either.
