My weekend: The Mummy and Doctor Who
Last Sunday, I went to the cinema to watch The Mummy - Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. It was... okay. Very slow start, but as soon as they actually got to the "mummy", it picked up and was just the mindless entertainment I paid for. But not nearly as good as the first two parts, sadly. Where's all the humour gone?
But man, did I miss Rachel Weisz. Maria Bello didn't even half cut it. She played a completely different character - that's not the Evie I know and adore. It's... something. And most of her lines were really stupid, which isn't really her fault, but still. Man. Give me Rachel back! Maria was outright awful as Evie.
In different news: I'm glad I listened to dalehead and didn't watch the Doctor Who episode "Blink" right before bed on Saturday. It would've given me my first ever nightmare (no, never had a nightmare. Yet). It was still creepy enough watching it in daylight!
