Weekly Ramblings #80, eh? only about 16 more emails to go. not that anyone is counting or anything...
'nuther relatively good week this week. nothing horribly special, but all around good all the same. Marina didnt get to church yesterday as she was kinda sick...or so she told us, and we have no reason not to believe her. we went by in the afternoon and told her she'd have to wait yet another week to be able to get baptized. she still wants to, which is good. now she's set up for the 19th.
we havent really been able to find any of the other families we are working with. the one family we taught most recently, they were still really nice when we went by, but one of the kids tried giving us the Book of Mormon back...we asked when we could come back again and the dad said in a couple weeks. its not a completely lost hope, I certainly plan for us to go back...but it is looking rather bleak for them.
yesterday was another "meh" day at church. there were 20 of us. I was kinda down but kinda happy all at the same time. down because there were so few members again, a good handful of people that said they would come didnt come. on the other hand, we had a special mission-wide fast yesterday for the work, that all the members in all the mission were supposed to get involved in. everyone that told us they were going to fast with us, that showed up to church, fasted, plus a few more that we didnt advise very well, and maybe a couple that didnt show up. most of our 100% active members are also pretty inactive at the same time, if that makes any sense, but its for that reason it made me happy to know they were fasting with us even though it was hard for them.
wait, you sent two packages and they BOTH had gobstoppers in them? that would lead me to believe that I only got one package then. Im pretty sure Ive only gotten one, but I know ive only gotten one box of gobstoppers...and wow were they good. I got 2 cards, I dont know if there are supposed to be more. thanks for the money! that may very well be buying me a way sweet knife. the other card was the one signed by all the different people, that was awesome, I really liked it. thank everyone you see that signed it for me.
CONGRATULATIONS terri on your new baby! hope everything goes well with that. Aiden, eh? thats a pretty cool name, I can dig it. the next name should be a good spanish one that is way cool, but that no school-teacher (or anyone else, for that matter) will know how to pronounce...like lucrecia, guillermo, yesica (pronounced "shesica") or miguel-angel...that'd be sweet.
well, keep me updated with all the happenings of home. especially with grandma and katie and her baby and stuff like that. cant think of anything else at the moment. hope everything continues going how its going if things are going good. and that they get better if they arent going good. dont doubt, but be believing. D&C123:17, and if you really are feeling down, 2 Kings 2:23-24 :-P
