Thanks for the advice in the last post.
I've been feeling overwhelmed and confused this week. Mark and I have changed our plans for moving, completely, two or three times. We postponed the delivery of the pod that was coming tomorrow till March first, decided to move to Seattle, and now have once again decided to move to Olympia.
Since Mark is going to Germany for three weeks for work during the last half of February and the first week in March, we decided to slow it down a little and go to the NW together to find a rental when he gets back.
The plan until yesterday was for me to move everything into the pod, get the house ready to show and then to travel to Seattle with Cadence and find a rental on my own in February. Slowly, and thanks to friends pointing out the obvious, I realized that there is no reason to rush. It's okay if we move in March instead. And it is 20 times better if Mark is around more during the process. It has been so difficult to make decisions about this. There are just too many options, each with it's own set of valid reasons. I'm kind of a wishy-washy person.
Why make it harder than it has to be? It has already been hard on Cadence- she was soooooo difficult on our trip to Phoenix, and now that we have settled into a semi-familiar schedule, she is back to her (mostly) pleasant self.
Besides that, the cold temperatures have been frustrating, only because it is hard to go for walks or anything. We let our gym membership expire, but I've been thinking about getting back in so I'd have somewhere to go besides our house! This morning, I got some clay out and we made some little simple people to fire and glaze. Now she's watching Big Bear in the Blue house while I cheat and get online!
