ill respectfully disagree and say confidence is a problem. why are you not entitled to the girl you want? because she is out of your league?

confidence in yourself alone could win her over, pride isnt the issue. so what if shes out of your league, that should not matter.

as far as work goes, take confidence in knowing that you will do well when you try, dont put off work just so you have an excuse when you fail. If you work hard and you do fail, suck it up and work harder, or find a different way to learn the material.

if pride is really the issue, then learn to be more humble.

Regardless of what it is, now that you've recognized that it's there you can fix it. I'm sure even a little improvement will make a big difference ... Plus, if you can change the way your pride effects you even just a little, it'll trickle down and change other things for the better too -- like confidence!

take one day at a time with a "i'm gonna kick your ass" attitude and you'll feel better :-)
