Well, the demo at Tyner Middle School was a success - it was pretty hot out in the sun so I came away with half of a headache and fortunately we went to Steak and Shake afterward and I consumed huge quantities of liquids.

Well, I **think** I have everything ready for the demo today at one of our local middle schools for some 7th graders. I get to man the Clothing and Textile Table all by myself. Everything is all packed up, and I've got my outfit laid out.

Well, I went to MGT this weekend. It was an interesting mix - on the good side, I had great food, wonderful conversations with old and new friends, and on the bad side there was a sulky teenager, Crazy weather, pestilence and a bit of logistical mayhem.

Well, I really hate the way I look with my hair up, cause there is nothing to distract you from the old and fat.

But spinning yarn-wise, it's a great shot so I'm putting this in as a motivator to put a better shot in later.

I do like the way the turban looks, even if I don't like how I look in it. It is cooler (temperature wise). I wore this outfit ( Read more... )

Well the Girl Scout Demo is completed!

There were 22 of us and over 150 of them (children and adults included).

It rained most of the day Saturday so instead of camping in a field and doing the demo from there, we were allowed to set up in the feast hall and set up stations for displays: here are a couple of photos:
