Sewing Circle & Shire B-Day

Oct 02, 2009 10:02

Lady Saraqan (drmrsgal ) and Lady Keina came over to the house last night and we had a combination Tea Party and Sewing Circle.  I taught / reviewed running stitch, double running stitch, whipstitch, and back stitch, and also taught Keina split stitch.

I ended up using the dining room as it required the least cleaning up.

betsyhoneyvenom had given me this awesome vintage italian brocade tablecloth that I used for the first time and I also broke out the OCR china, some of my sandwich glass, and rogers violet silverplate. If my batteries didn't need charging I'd have taken a picture - maybe next time.

I've got to go to mundane sewing tonight and I'll have to work on Bellaria and some other sweets when I get back as tomorrow is the Shire birthday party at the Riverpark.

Then I'll be using this newly cleared off dining room table all next week to work on Tobias's tabard. It's about large enough to spread things out to work on. I don't want to take it outside at the risk of getting it dirty.
