The stupid Amazing techniques are what killed Naruto and Bleach for me. "My super special secret ninjutsu is sooooo much better than your supper special secret ninjutsu" I'm freaking going to icon that phrase and use it nonstop, because that really bugs me ):< I love Azula's little ass kicking trio of girls. Made me squee :DDD And Katara is just too damn awesome. I love her so much more than I did before, because she's smart and stands up for what's right.
That's what made me love ATLA. How the movements coincide with the elements, and Waterbending is so heartwrenchingly beautiful, it's like ballet. Everything is flowing and smooth. And fire and earth are like BAM! BURN/CRUSH YOU. And air is just whoosh, very loose and everything. I love it for the moves too. Like it's actually possible, and not something totally crazy, like, I don't know, SUPER SPECIAL AWESOME NINJAS.
I JUST READ P&P TOO! What a coincidence! But, seriously, Zutara is not freaking P&P. No, it's not that sophisticated. I don't see Zuko changing his goal of killing the Avatar for Katara, and Katara has solid proof that Zuko's an ass trying to kill her lover/friend. People need to get their facts straight before making stupid comparisons. Yargh, that pisses me off because I LOVE P&P, and hearing that makes it seem stupid. You can't compare that kind of classic with a cartoon. (I realize this totally isn't your point, excuse my ranting)
ATLA is the new Naruto :D Your obsession has my approval, so it's perfectly fine and healthy :P
haha I rant about Avatar mostly here because I hide my love for it in RL ._.; My brother thinks its the devil and my best friend thinks its dumb so I don't have much of anyone to talk about it with. *cries*
