I think I can, I think I can

Working like a fiend.

This morning I went for my massage then walked down to the Triangle to get stamps, printer ink, paper, envelopes, yet another bloody steel ruler, my other three having vanished into the ether and cat medicine (my cat is on steroids, so no Olympic gold medals for him!). Found A5 paper in the stationer's, which meant that I didn't need to cut out the posters - it's a little on the thin side but I don't care, it's been a total godsend.

This afternoon - edited the poster and the invites some more, printed them out, cut up loads of invites, addressed envelopes (found this nifty programme that does it direct from Address Book), stuffed envelopes, put stamps on envelopes, sealed envelopes with sellotape because they've lost their stickiness.

This evening - ate lovely chicken soup that malabar made and then sanded 8 boards and started sealing them. Did one coat and then watched House - very nice to sit down and do nothing but knit and laugh for an hour.

So far I've done one coat on each side and two coats on the edges. I've just got to do another coat on each side and then I'm done for the night. It'll be quicker now though because the edges take longer - I can probably do the rest in about half an hour - five minutes to paint the glue on, 20 minutes to dry and then one last coat.

Unfortunately, I haven't managed any pinning today but I should be able to get lots done tomorrow while I'm waiting for the layers of gesso to dry. I also need to write the press release tomorrow.

OK, got to go and put another coat of glue on and then I'm going to nip out to the post box with my big pile of envelopes while it dries. I want the invites to go out in the morning post and I know I won't be up in time. I feel so much better for having got them done. Of course, I still have to distribute the posters around Bristol but I'm going to drop a big pile round to the Here shop tomorrow in the hope that someone else can do that side of town. I've also sent some posters out to local arts centres and a couple of friends so that they can put some up in places like Gloucester, Stroud and Cheltenham.
