More business...wait, busyness, that's what I mean.
I met Ricky, who was someone I knew from LJ. He was really nice, took me out to chinese (with ice cream! ^_^) and is an excellent artist. We had a lot in common and fun talking. But alas, I had work to do, as I will all this week and the next *sigh* At least it's fun for the most part.
My team project is going smoothly paper and presentation-wise but not actual experiment-wise. We're trying to salvage it tho. We also designed a T-shirt and are having some place in Philly that is doing Josh's group's do ours as well. As we're GFP we're getting black tshirts with greenish-white type that glows in the dark ^_^
Hmm, what else...Oh, my day off was Tuesday! I went to visit Stephen an hour away in Ligonier. It was fun...we watched Shogun Assassin, this old Japanese samurai movie which was pretty good, and then I slept on his couch til dinner. His mom always makes the most awesome fruit salads! This one was strawberries, grapes, banana, and kiwi! ^_^
Then we went to Joy's Japanimation and got some anime to watch. There was a little girl there (Joy's daughter maybe?) who kept talking to Stephen and I about Sailormoon and stuff...it was so cute! We also grabbed Ashley, Stephen's friend (well, gf now, heh) and went to Eat N Park. His friend group from home has like soap opera lives at their Eat N Park, it was fascinating to hear about it. Oh, and I had my second Oreo Bliss Sundae...those things are great!
We dropped Ashley off and went back to watch anime. I'd gotten Neo Ranga out of curiosity and watched half before Nathan came. Nathan who calls me Amy, heh. He and Stephen played the dot hack card game while we watched a diff dot hack series based on the manga characters, which so far I think is better than the other series, tho it has a strong incestuous theme going for it, hehe. Then Nathan left and not long after Stephen went to bed as he had to get up for an 8 am work shift the next morning. I finished Neo Ranga and headed to bed myself.
I got up and drove back the next day, getting back in time for the 12:30 staff meeting. After that was a team project meeting, and then I spent most of the day working on various things.
That night was board game night, and I had fun first playing Carcassonne with G and PMatt (I came in second, I can never seem to win that game). Then I played Scrabble with Amy, UJ, and Carlin, but I got help at various times from Neil (comp sci prof), Jack, and Joel, so it was kinda unfair that I won. Then Dr. Walker (math prof) and I teamed up against Amy and Jack to play cribbage (Jack was new but Neil helped him). We kicked so much ass! We won 3 games in a row, skunking them on the last one when Amy and Paul were playing the same hand. Then Neil joined Jack and we lost some of our luck...but still! Dr. Walker got a crib of 4 queens! FOUR QUEENS! What amazing luck! It was so awesome, and so weird hihg-fiving this like 50-something math prof who I didn't deal with at all in the program and who's classes I slept thru when I was a student, hehe.
Today was nothing real special then...last day of Microgravity, and so I taped that, and the students had some good and humorous presentations. A lot of people went to see Real Genius tonight, the 80s movie with Val Kilmer...good stuff, check it out if you get the chance. And I sat around and read and beat Andy in pool and read some more. Then we planned the TA skit some, which was cool...hopefully when we practice once just 2 hours before tomorrow it goes smoothly!
And now I should head to bed as I have an 8 am class to attend tomorrow...the last bio class! I hope I can go back to bed after, hehe.
