(no subject)
i was in complete and utterly shock we got a snow day today. when we actually needed one too. i despise having to wake up in the morning during the winter and take off all my warm blankets just because i have to go to school. bah humbug.
on wednesday beth and i went to the mall and walmart again to finish up our christmas shopping. my grandma and aunt both sent me a card and a check that i recieved in the mail that day, so my mom cashed it and i did some 'me' shopping as well. well beth and i almost died like 5 times, haha. it was so icy her car was skidding and we were all over the road, and we almost got hit by a snow plow pulling out of the gas station. we were so scared we were laughing our asses off. i bought for the remainder of my friends, beth and i both got a playboy calender and a blow up doll "inflatable wife" for billy, ha ha haaa ha. i keep telling billy he's going to be getting married on sunday (when we're planning to exchange presents), he gets all confused, haha. he'll see. i bought myself a couple cute shirts, a pair of hot jeans with a belt, some new earrings, nose studs and this giant pair of glow in the dark novelty sunglasses, one lens is about as big as my whole head, i shall have fun with those, ha. we came back to my house and did some wrapping and ate christmas cookies for awhile.
alicia, christine and mike stopped over tonight and i exchanged presents with the girls. i got alicia a blue angel canopy for her bed and some dangly earrings, and i got christine some glitter lotion and body mist from claire's. alicia got me some raspberry glitter lotion, body wash and bath fizzies and a cell phone face plate, and christine got me sweetpea body mist. i was going to go to mcdonald's with them and matt but i decided not to, i hung out with billy for most of the night.
i feel bad i set such expensive standards for my friends and i was on a tight budget, so i didn't have enough to buy for the rest of my family :-(. i already bought for my mom and i gave her her gift on wednesday, and i already bought for my sister, but i burned her some elliott smith cd's too. i burned gorillaz, flogging molly and fatboy slim for my uncle, and a christmas cd for my grandparents with a lot of various choir music and charlotte church. so at least i had blank cd's for a last resort, i consider them more of a priceless gift because it took a lot more effort to download the mp3's and take the time to burn them than the price of the cd itself.
i hope my christmas will turn out better than it's looking so far. it doesn't really even seem like a big deal anymore. my mom didn't even bother decorating this year, and we couldn't find the ornaments for our tree so basically we have a bare tree. plus my dad won't be here, and because my mom is on a tight spending budget right now because he hasn't worked for awhile, i'm going to feel guilty opening up all my presents christmas and not giving nearly as much in return.
we're going to my grandparents for christmas eve dinner, then i may possibly go to midnight mass with my grandma. not for religious purposes, but i'm a sap for churches and having them beautifully decorated for christmas, and choir music. plus i'd like to spend time with my grandma, my grandpa usually isn't awake to go with her. christmas day i don't have much planned, probably just spend time with my mom and sleep in. new year's is looking good, i'm going to beth's birthday party so we'll be inebriating ourselves to the balldrop :-D.
also my birthday is coming up, january 15. i'm not certain yet when i'm going to have my party. since my birthday is right on a saturday, i was going to have it then but quinn will be in pennsylvania and alicia will be gone for a winterguard competition, and i'd like them to be there. the weekend before i think would be too soon, i need some time to plan plus josh is going to be in london up till the 9th and i'd like to him to come. then the weekend after i think would be too far away, i'd spend a full school week antsy as fuck. any suggestions?
