Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy? He's taller than humans but small for a Cybertronian: roughly 16 feet. He's middling build, not designed for heavy combat or heavy lifting but not ultralight for speed.
2. How old is he? Millions of years old. He'd be younger than Ironhide and possibly Ratchet, but he was onlined and in the Civil Defense Forces before Optimus ruined everything.
3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch? Total sloucher. Unless he thinks his height can be used to intimidate. Preferred position is leaning against a wall, arms crossed.
4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities? It's hard to be out of shape as a robot, but he's gone two full years without a proper maintenance strip down. So he's kind of rough.
5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid? Tense and a bit twitchy, especially late at night when he normally does comm checks.
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror? He is ugly. He knows it, too. His opinion on that is, meh. He thinks beautiful people who get by on their looks (like Starscream) are disgusting manipulators.
7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred? Dark AND light--black, with electrum plating around the mouth, and silver/chrome accents.
8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style. No hair. Just more sexy metal.
9. What color are his eyes? Red. And there are four of them.
10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features? He's a robot? He turns into a police car. I guess that's pretty noticeable.
11. What are his chief tension centers? Shoulders/pauldron tires tense when he's angry or upset, as do the doorwings. He rubs his wrists when he's nervous. Doorwings are best indicators of mood.
12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit? Same black and white and cop-all over every day. Technically, by human standards, he's NAKED. ALL THE TIME.
13. Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them? Oh yes. Happy naked time.
14. Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences?
15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando? Uhhh, genitals? o_O We'll go with commando.
Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse? Metallic and grating. And he knows it. :C
2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate? He tries to be smooth. It doesn't work. It's hard to read emotional inflections in his voice.
3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics? 'UH' or 'um' a lot. Tendency to drop the first person pronoun and otherwise lop the beginnings of sentences.
4. What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency? He's got a translation protocol so theoretically, any language.
5. Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations? Yes. If there were another 'con here, he'd speak in Cybertronian.
6. Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words? He sucks at impromptu. In the Decepticons speech was just another way to be confrontational and competitive. Only the strong survive and all that. So, talking NICE? Totally alien. Being irritating and jabbing at weaknesses? Completely natural.
7. Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change? Inarticulate, unless you ask him about how much he hates certain things or misses Frenzy.
Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart? He's very smart. Clawed his way up to the command structure by his wits (certainly wasn't his size or kick ass fighting abilities). Streetsmart.
2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate? Thinks on his feet, but not necessarily well at this point, since he's failed so much recently he's starting to second guess.
3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical? Practical and logical, unless he's moved by emotion. Which is not the same as intuition at all.
4. What kind of education has the character had? Self educated entirely. So there are some gaps.
5. What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about? He's a former Science Officer, so...science and engineering, yes. He has also studied interrogations. He wants to learn more about strategy, especially strategies to use against humans.
6. Is he an introvert or an extrovert? Extroverted.
7. Describe the character's temperament. Is he even-tempered or does he have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven? MOOD SWINGS that dopplershift. And driven. He hates being bored. He's generally irritable unless he can see some good reason to exert himself to be nice.
8. How does he respond to new people or situations? Is he suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic? Suspicious and nervous that he'll frag up.
9. Is he more likely to act, or to react? Act.
10. Which is his default: fight or flight? Fight. You don't back down in the Decepticons. Even if he knows he's going to take a hell of a beating, he won't back down.
11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does he appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks? Gallows humor and sarcasm.
12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does he deal with them? He's most likely a sociopath. He's had one close friend in his life, Frenzy, who is, he presumes, dead now and that's...troublesome. Frenzy kept him stable for a while.
13. What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person? Losing Frenzy, standing up to Starscream and Blackout, failing to retrieve the glasses from Ladiesman217.
14. What does he fear? Failure. Again. And abandonment.
15. What are his hopes or aspirations? He...can't think that far. He wants to survive and prove everyone wrong. Prove he can make it.
16. What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him? How much he really misses...anyone from his side. He's homesick.
Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with his parents. No parents.
2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like? None
3. Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand? He can't stand everyone. ^__^
4. Are there other, unrelated people whom he considers part of his family? What are his relationships with them? No
5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet? Frenzy. They were partnered together for their mission on Earth. They were total opposites but he found that Frenzy's...randomness pulled him out of himself a lot.
6. Does he have other close friends? He kind of likes Blackout.
7. Does he make friends easily, or does he have trouble getting along with people? As you can see, he sucks at making friends. Even when he's trying. He doesn't know how to do it. Which is making him angry and frustrated.
8. Which does he consider more important: family or friends? The Decepticon cause. Failing that, his friends/whomever he feels loyalty toward.
9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has he been married more than once? never been.
10. Is he currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse? No.
11. Who was his first crush? Who is his latest? Starscream. Yeah. That's why he hates the Pretty Jets.
12. What does he look for in a romantic partner? Someone who puts up with him, and gives as good as he gets.
13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does he relate to them? If no, does he want any?HEELLLLZ No.
14. Does he have any rivals or enemies? Yes. Autobots.
15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does he fall on the Kinsey scale? He's a robot. Technically (if we go by fanon) he's a hermaphrodite.
16. How does he feel about sex? How important is it to him? He has not had positive experiences with interfacing. Let's...leave it at that. He's small and obnoxious in an Army that thinks that brutality is how you show affection. Ow.
17. What are his turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits? Bondage, and he really likes having that space between his wingpanels rubbed. Oh, and hunt and capture foreplay. Yeah. Kind of roughsex.
Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does he fit type? He has none. If he did he'd be a Gemini--quick witted, a little capricious/headstrong.
2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in his life? Not religious. Cynical.
3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it? Yes. He is fiercely loyal, and even if he argues like HELL with someone, if they are on the List, he'll do what they say or do what it takes to protect them. He got this from how he wished he'd been treated. It's the one thing he thinks makes him...not an utter slag.
4. How does he regard beliefs that differ from his? Is he tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent? Curious but tolerant. Some human religions he may view as pointless superstition but he's seen a lot in this universe that's unexplained, that might be called 'magic' that he's not going to write something off without reason.
5. What prejudices does he hold? Are they irrational or does he have a good reason for them? He hates Autobots as self-righteous hypocrites. He's pretty much solid on that and feels he's got pretty good reasons. He's not fond of humans. But he thinks racism and sexism are stupid.
Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is he rich, poor, comfortable, in debt? Military. No real 'luxury' purchases in his life. In fact, he's not dealt with money since...the early days of the war.
2. What is his social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected him? He clawed his way up through the ranks to Command. He was hand picked for the team to come to Earth. And then...it all fell apart. And now...he's the only one. He's been trying for two years to get in touch and he feels like...he's failed and they've abandoned him and he doesn't know why.
3. Where does he live? House, apartment, trailer? Is his home his castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does he share it with others? Right now in the tacky Medieval Deck. But it's way more luxurious than his former recharge cube.
4. Besides the basic necessities, what does he spend his money on? Well, again, not really money, but he spends his free time (what little there is) on self-education--history, politics, psychology.
5. What does he do for a living? Is he good at it? Does he enjoy it, or would he rather be doing something else? He's a Science Officer and head of Intelligence. He loved his work when he could do it. Loved doing it well and defying the expectations of others.
6. What are his interests or hobbies? How does he spend his free time? See above: studying. Knowledge is power. He's sure of it.
7. What are his eating habits? Does he skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods? He's got a soldier's attitude toward food: it's fuel. You need it. Who cares if it tastes good?
