Remembering cruel tricks of the brain....
I remembered today that when I first heard about the Phantom movie, I got really really excited because Joel Schumacher was directing it....The vicious reality check came later when I realized that Joel Schumacher wasn't who I thought he was. I was thinking of Jonathan Demme. For those of you not familiar with Hollywood directors....Jonathan Demme--Academy Award winning director of Silence of the Lambs. Joel Schumacher--idiotic fucktard that single-handedly ruined the Batman franchise. I take that back, George Clooney and Jim Carrey helped. (Alicia Silverstone doesn't count because the franchise was already going down in flames...it's like shooting the poor bastards who bailed out of the airplane at 30K feet.) Now I'm forever tormented by what COULD have been with a Demme-helmed Phantom movie. Why? WHhhyyyyy????
