Although perhaps not footloose and fancy-free. Nor am I remotely ready for the big time.
But I am ready to post some big news. Well, big-ish. To me. It involves boxes.
Because I am moving again. Yes indeedy, I did just move last July. That is not the point. The point is ... um ... the point is ... we wave that point. We look over it. And sometimes we bury the point in parentheticals (how'm I doing?) and randomosity.
So the sweetie and I are going to cohabit, and we found a place about 150 blocks north of where I currently reside, up in the Shoreline neighborhood. It's a cute little 2 bedroom house with a garage and a fenced yard and a large front room and a laundry room (!) and a deck. It's near to buses and groceries and other services, although my commute to work will increase by 15 to 20 minutes extra driving, and it'll be something close to an hour by bus. But it's not the end of the world, if I can get my lazy ass out of bed before 7am. It is so haarrrrrd! Mr. Sweetie will have to add in extra bus time for his wanders, as well. But we're real close to Edmonds and Richmond Beach Park and Montlake Terrace and Alderwood Mall and Holyrood Catholic Cemetary and Lake Ballinger, two of which I did not know existed until Google Maps showed me just now. I'll let you guess which two.
So, er, the timeline of said move is, um, under construction. We both have to negotiate with our current landlords about trying to only pay a portion of April's rent, and there's the packing and the negotiations of whose stuff goes where and are we renting a truck or renting people and yadda hoodie. The place is ours as of March 27th, as long as nothing untoward happens, and I am going to try to take the last two days of March off from work because, well, moving is stressful like that. Having four days to finish it up would be so much easier.
Anyhoo, any of you local peeps who have packing materials and/or time to donate to the moving cause would be much appreciated. I know some of you gave much of your time and other resources last time, and I completely understand if you're all lending-a-handed out. But I promise all and sundry homemade goodies shortly after the move in, and some sort of sustenance on any day your hands are lent out, as it were.
Hey, I've never seen the sun come up in the west...
move,
news,
stuff,
