Title: 5 Times Jin sang Kame to sleep (couldn't think of a real title)
Pairing: akame of course
Summary: 5 times jin sang to kame throughout the years
1. Fall 2000
The ground was uncomfortable and Kame turned over again. Scratching his neck, Kame was sure that he was covered in sand.
“Kame?” A voice said sleepily beside him, “You’re still awake?”
He looked over at Jin, “Ah its okay. You can go back to sleep.” He shivered and burrowed further into the sleeping bag as the night wind blew at the tent.
The older boy moved closer to him, “I’ll sing you a song! Eto…ah! Zoosan, zoosan, hana ga naga-itai.”
Hitting his arm, Kame grinned and interrupted Jin “Baka, I don’t need a nursery rhyme. I’m not a little kid.”
Jin smiled widely back at him and simply started humming softely.
2. Fall 2004
They had been a few months into shooting Gokusen 2. Jin looked at Kame worriedly. The younger man was sitting under a tree and looked extremely tired. He knew that Kame probably hadn’t gotten more than a few hours sleep every night since the beginning of filming. Walking up to the other he sat down against the tree.
Kame looked at him and smiled tiredly, “Yo.”
He smiled back “You look tired.” He patted his shoulder, and Kame leaned his head against Jin. “Why don’t you take a nap? I’ll sing you a song.”
There was a light chuckle, “What? Another nursery rhyme?”
“No…what about Kizuna? You’re always the one performing it, how ‘bout hearing me sing it?”
Kame smiled into his arm, “Un, that sounds nice.”
“Saki no koto dore hodo ni…”
3. Winter 2007
Kame smiled bitterly as he looked at the familiar number on his phone. Jin had been in America for four months. When he left the two had been on shaky grounds. Kame tried to convince himself that he’d been okay-that nothing was wrong. And for the most part it had been working, drowning himself into any upcoming jobs kept his mind away from life. But every time he closed his eyes he’d see Jin’s crooked smile and hear his low, raspy voice. Kame heard the phone ring and the voice mail picked up.
He didn’t speak for a few minutes before muttering softly, “…..I miss you.”
Later that night when he got home before going to sleep he checked his phone once more for any messages he’d missed. Kame was surprised to find a voice message waiting for him. Sitting on his bed he clicked for the message to start, but there was silence on the other end. He’d almost shut off his phone thinking someone called him by accident when he heard it. There was a nervous cough on the line before a voice rang through Kame’s ear.
“…..Happy Birthday To You, Happy Birthday To You, Happy Birthday Dear Kazuya, Happy Birthday To You”
4. Summer 2007
When Jin had come back from America things had gotten better and worse at the same time. The minute he returned he knew he’d gotten Kame-his friend- back, but for the sake of the group and themselves he could never have Kame-his lover again.
The night KAT-TUN spent at George Tokoro’s house he and Kame were the last to fall asleep. They’d been telling ghost stories all night and Jin knew he’d still be up for a good while still. Laying there in the dark he thought everyone was sleeping when he felt the bed shift beneath him.
“Kame?” he whispered
“Un,” replied the younger man, “It’s crowded on the other bed with Junno, Ueda, and Maru on it.”
Though knowing the other couldn’t see Jin nodded his head. Kame settled in the bed and after a moment of silence called out his name. Jin turned over to face him, “Yeah?”
Kame opened and closed his mouth once seemingly deciding on whether or not to continue, “Sing me a song?”
Jin’s eyes widened, “Eh?”
“Sing me a song, so I can go to sleep. Like you used to.” The other said simply.
Jin lightly bopped Kame on his head, “Okay princess…” he paused and one song popped into his head, “..It’s a little funny story Sou mou modorenai…”
5. Summer 2010
Kame was tired of the push and pull that the Jimusho demanded from him. “Keep your distance from Akanishi.” They had told him, yet would turn around and pair him up with Jin for the next photo shoot. Even now he and Jin were paired up in the same room for their outdoor shooting. KAT-TUN was on an overnight trip at an onsen. Kame slid the door to his room breathing deeply. The sight that greeted him had him suddenly breathless. Jin was sitting in the large window sill next to a half-opened window. Light from the street lamp streamed in, enveloping Jin in a wall of light.
The older man turned towards him, “Kame? Where’ve you been? It’s nearly midnight.”
Kame shrugged, “No where, I just wanted to stretch my legs.”
Jin flashed him a familiar smile. “Can’t sleep? Do you want a song?”
Kame walked towards Jin and knelt on the floor. Resting his head against Jin’s legs he looked up at the other man; his eyes shining in the light.
“Okay.” He said and smiled softly.
Raking a hand through Kame’s hair Jin softly began, “Under the street lights kono hikari tatta hitotsu no kizuna saa
Tooku hanare wasurete mo kitto zutto kawaranai…..”
