为什么这么忙?

It's been a pretty eventful day, all things considered. I woke up this morning at 6:30, one and a half hours earlier than I usually wake up. Nevertheless, I brushed my teeth, washed my face, and did everything else I normally do in the morning. It wasn't until I was about ready to leave that I realized how odd it was that nobody else in my suite was awake yet--especially Roland, who has Chinese in the morning with me. I looked at my cell phone, saw the time, decided that I was dumb, and went back to sleep.

After classes ended at 1:00, I ate lunch in Silliman with an MB&B grad student. We talked for quite a bit. I've found that the conversations I have in college tend to be more meaningful than the ones I had in high school. That's not to say that I don't have silly conversations anymore, though. What's life without a little silliness?

Afterwards, I headed over to the American Red Cross blood drive. I decided to register for the bone marrow registry, though now that I think about it, part of me is very afraid that the doctors will find a match and ask me to go through bone marrow extraction surgery. I don't think I'd be able to say no if it was a matter of someone else's life or death. Alas.

Usually, the best part of donating blood is the free stuff they give you afterwards, like food, shirts, coupons, etc. Unfortunately, they only had shortbread cookies and juice this time. Tough luck, I suppose.

I have yet to begin today's Chinese homework. It feels like the work never ends in college. Zaijian.
