Yeah, I'm from icklefickle's team, and that's really unfair that you guys get trophies and stuff. I'd definitely say that the best part of our FPS program now -- really just our team and coach of four years -- is the wonderful bond that we've formed as a team. You just can't go to state and international upwards of three times and not have tons of inside jokes and memorable experiences. We've gotten to the point where at some points, FPS seems more like a science when we solve -- we all know exactly what our specific "roles" are.
When I first started out, I would say that our program was great because it was so strong -- we were one of the few schools to offer it as a class to sixth and seventh graders, and our coaches were all incredibely expericened/good at FPS. I think the class really offered the opportunity to try FPS to a lot of people who otherwise wouldn't have that experience.
FPS is great, and its awesome that your team has been together for so long...Teams at LHS get little shuffled every year, due to little fights, and more importantly, gf and bf break-ups--it has ruined 3 teams, I think.
Yeah, we got talking about that after meeting a couple on a team at IC. Not good if you're remotely serious about FPS. Actually, I think it'd be bad enough when they were together...
