Hey Everyone!!
My name is Natalie, and I'm NEW!!!
I've been doing FPS for about a year now, and live in way super small town Michigan--a town called White Lake. My school is just about the biggest and best in the state (I can't help bragging). Lakeland High School has only been doing FPS for 3 years, but our 1st 12 teams made it to states and we have had 7 teams get trophies in the state and 2 teams go to internationals. My team, made up of 3 people who had done it previously and one nooob (me) placed 5th in the state last year, and I got a big trophy!!! This year, there are 12 teams and 1 alternate. Our coach, Chris Lebutt (pronounced exactly how its spelled) is the bomb, and we all love him to death. I just wanted to introduce myself, say that I LOVE FPS and mention some of things that make LHS FPS all that more awesome.
-We get tee-shirts every year with our last name on the back
-We all have numbers, starting with the 1st person to join FPS (1) to the last person to join (50ish?) Once you get a number, its your's forever--I'm 29
-Each individual team has a team name--Last Year, I was on Team Matadore, and this year, Team Catharsis. Another team at our school is The Cord-Cutters, and my personal favorite, Mama Bear and Los Tres Nooobs!
-FPS BONDING EXPERIENCES!!!! Since there are so many people in FPS (49 I think), our coach had us all go on a weekend trip to Mackinac Island to get to know each other, and bond with the kids NOT on your team. It was one of the best experiences of my life.
Anyways, I was curious about things that make your school FPS awesome, besides the fact that, well, its FPS. I am also curious about the size of your programs and how well your school does!!!
Thanks to those who started the community, its awesome, and I love it!
