Seriously. Narre Warren. WTF, Carl. LOL.
So, I did end up making the journey from work in the city to Fountain Gate. Took about an hour and a half I guess including the tram and bus.
There was a VIP fashion show on in the centre. I've never seen one of these before, always thought they'd be boring - just watching skinny girls walk up and down wearing clothes I never could. But it was excellent!
Firstly, they had an abundance of free champagne. I only had one before securing my position behind the barrier and I was getting all red already from lack of eating lunch. Anyway, Carl was on first with "Time After Time" and he brought his trumpet out too :)
They went on with the fashion after that, and what was really fun were the dancers, they had models who could not only walk, but dance, it was great - much more exciting to watch. They had modelling for like, Susanne, Suzanne Grae, Jay Jays, Just Jeans, Osmosis and... Big W :/ Then Carl came on modelling Roger David, strutting his stuff with poses *giggles*
Then he sang "This Guy's In Love With You", the new single. He tends to end his notes abruptly to prepare for trumpet playing, and sometimes he forgets to sing into the mic :/ but his deep tones are so nice in his new song. And he warned people he was going to try and whistle lol and he did, in tune. And Fountain Gate only had corded mics... how annoying.
The show only went for about an hour, then Carl signed some sheets of paper for fans. Lol, don't think the single's out yet. Got a few terrible photos ( Facebook) haha. Nice lady in front of me took photos of Carl and I heehee. Apparently someone from the Berwick paper took one as well :/ Carl asked me about the traffic, because he thought I drove all that way. Oh, he is adorable lol he sounds a bit awkward, like on TV, that's so cute lol.
Gulped down another glass of champers on the way out, can't waste that opportunity, took me a whopping 2.5hrs to get back home! A half hour wait at Narre Warren Station and a further 30 minutes at Richmond.
